Where nail'd begins to deteriorate is the inconsistent hit detection. At times we'd glance harmlessly off a pillar but a tiny mid-air tree branch would result in instant death. During one humorous race we even found ourselves literally glued to a cloth flag. Fortunately situations like this result in a generous respawn system, placing you just ahead of the obstacle without losing too many seconds from the clock.
The deservedly-hyped soundtrack featuring original music from Raymond Herrera (Fear Factory), Wayne Static (Static X) and other metal icons is also worthy of praise. The music provides players with a quality backdrop of angry hard rock and metal, though after several hours of racing, fatigue may set in for certain songs. http://naildbiter.com/qq1CW
